AURA by ANDUZE

For years it had been a dream of mine to collaborate with a musical artist and develop an album cover, one that would be visually striking enough to stir up enough curiosity that one couldn't help but wonder what that album must sound like. I was fortunate enough to be tapped by Anduze, a unique vocalist who likens his sound to a modern version of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to assist in the creative direction of his latest album, AURA.

Provided with some initial inspiration and ideas as to how he wanted the visuals to represent the music, he entrusted me with the creative development process. I managed to wrangle a small team of friends and collaborators and proceeded to organize a shoot and come up with a few different explorations. We landed on this atmospheric and mystical representation that nodded to past forms of Black music, yet charged with a renewed vibrant energy. Being able to produce this vision and bring it fully to life easily makes this one of my favorite projects I've had the honor of executing.
